I am writing this with a heavy heart. Things and perspectives have been changing within me here of late. This entry may seem muddy and unorganized, but to tell you the truth things that emit from your heart aren't always polished and ready for the store shelf.
It's time to get real people. Love is not infatuation. Infatuation is not love. Love is a decision. Love is unrelenting. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love knows no boundaries. It sees through everything. It does not lie. It is truth in its purest form and not always comfortable. Love is about overcoming and persevering. Love is selfless. That's what love is. I'm not even sure Webster nailed it. In case you haven't noticed English, in all it's complexity and such, has not been able to nail down exactly what love is.
When you are broken, you find out exactly what kind of person you are - at least through my experience. Though it's hard, humbling yourself (or being humbled) is...oh how can I say this...the best thing for you. It's like going through a detox or cleaning yourself out.
Before I close this snippet, I would really encourage all of you to watch the Passion Talk Series (Google it) and read either Velvet Elvis or The Shack. Please for your own good. Please I beg you, think beyond yourself and your own problems. Please. Please. Please.
